Round section steel bars with a grooved surface, or with ridges, to facilitate their adhesion to concrete when used in the construction industry. They are manufactured strictly complying with the specifications that indicate the creep limit, tensile strength, and elongation. The specifications also indicate the dimensions and tolerances. They are known as rebars, deformed bars, and in Venezuela as cabillas. Rebars are identified by their diameter, which can be in inches or millimeters. The usual lengths are 9 and 12 meters long.
